Testing Result of PBI Gold®

Stay Tough after Thermal Exposure
We put both samples of fabric subjected to thermal exposures that simulated flashover conditions (50/50 radiant/convective heat flux of 2.0 cal/cm2 s for 5 seconds). Burst strength (ASTMD-3787) was determined before and after thermal exposure. The aramid fabric’s loss of burst strength is associated with severe embrittlement of the fabric. The sample of PBI Gold® resists embrittlement and retains significant strength, offering an added margin of safety after thermal assault.

At the same time, by the testing of international laboratory, BTTG, it has been proven that the performance of PBI Gold® fabric exceeds EN469 and NFPA requirements.
